THE PLAYERS
Andrew Blaxland is a trained actor and singer. He has been wooing audiences with his Elvis shows for some years and has played for crowds from as few as 40 to as many as 4000. Andrew has performed at private parties, corporate events, fundraising functions and recently at the "Twilight at Taronga 60's Night".
Not only does Andrew sound like Elvis, he was born with a striking resemblance that has stopped people in the streets and caused heads to turn. At concerts it is as if the King himself was on the stage and Andrew’s ability to sound and move like Elvis has caused women to swoon and cry and part with items of clothing in true Elvis-concert-style.
His love, respect and admiration for Elvis Presley ensures he brings the look, the sound and the moves of Elvis to every performance.
Singer / pianist Lionel Robinson comes from London, where he reckons to have played most of the music venues from Ronnie Scott’s to the Hammersmith Odeon.
He began his wide and varied musical career as the resident pianist in Elton John's restaurant, "Friends", then toured extensively in the UK & Europe, played piano with Shakin’ Stevens, and even performed for several members of the Royal Family.
Since coming to Australia fifteen years ago his engaging style and easy rapport with audiences have earned him residencies and return engagements at such venues as the Sheraton Mirage (Port Douglas), Kingfisher Bay (Fraser Island), the Ritz-Carlton Osaka (Japan), the Sheraton on the Park, Vaucluse House, Star City, Café Sydney and the Manly, Thredbo & Noosa Jazz & Blues Festivals.
Luckily for us, Andrew & Lionel have teamed up to indulge a mutual passion – the music of Elvis Presley. Don’t miss out, check out The King and I and find out what all these Sydney-siders are talking about! It’s Now Or Never!
